Dr. Pera Gorson, ND
Dr. Pera Gorson is a naturopathic physician with a clinical focus on preventative medicine where she works with individuals with acute and chronic disease. She is a primary care provider with a special focus on the pediatric population offering well child visits and acute visits, as well as adult care where she manages type 2 diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, hormone balancing, infertility, and preconception care. She loves working with the pediatric population and offering naturopathic therapies to treat common conditions affecting children. Her treatments of choice include herbal medicine, homeopathy, and nutrition.
Dr. Gorson has an extensive background working with diverse populations to advance community health and wellness. She has experience developing programs focused on nutrition, gardening, and literacy for low-income youth and adult populations. She strongly believes that to achieve optimal health physical as well as mental and emotional aspects of health must be addressed along with broader societal injustices.
Dr. Pera Gorson is the Lead Physician of the Food as Medicine Institute (FAMI) where she facilitates community-based nutrition education programs, including the Food as Medicine Everyday series at the National University of Natural Medicine.
Dr. Gorson has a clinical practice at Prema Health in SE Portland. She received her doctorate degree from the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM) and her undergraduate degree in sociology and anthropology from Mills College.
